6 Things I Did in Seoul

6 Things I Did in Seoul

1) Checked-in at Hotel 28 Myeongdong

There’s no better place to stay in Seoul than in the heart of Myeongdong. And Hotel 28, a boutique hotel that looks like a contemporary art museum and film set rolled into one, is most probably the best option in the area at the moment.

Definitely staying here again the next time I visit Seoul.

2) Shopped ’til I dropped at Myeongdong

When you’re in the middle of a tour, and the tour guide gives you just an hour to shop, you have to make the most of your time! Shopping knowledge from my previous trips to Seoul proved super useful as I navigated through all my favorite stores in a breeze.

3) Met all my favorite stars at Grevin Museum

Their wax figures, at least! Originally founded over a hundred years ago in France, Musee Grevin opened its 4th museum in Seoul. It’s just across Lotte Hotel Seoul, so you might want to check this place out if you’re in the area with about an hour and a half to spare.

4) Enjoyed a romantic city view at Seoul Sky

The world’s 3rd highest observatory just opened last April 2017 in Seoul’s tallest tower, Lotte World Tower.

The elevator ride was an attraction in itself – a 360 degree LED display that keeps your mind off the fact that you’re going up 600m per minute. I’d probably go around 4 PM next time so I can enjoy 3 different views (afternoon, sunset, evening).

We also managed to catch a short skit called “Love Serenade” on our way down!

5) Got my specialty coffee fix at Manufact Coffee Roasters

Manufact Coffee Roasters is a familiar sight if you’ve read my 5 Cafes to Visit in Seoul post, and the perfect oasis in the middle of Gangnam winter. Thank God for indoor heaters!

6) Stuffed myself with yummy Korean cuisine

I must’ve gained a pound a day from all the food we ate in Seoul. To give you an idea of how big our servings were, here are some photos:
